CSV’s Retired & Senior Volunteer Programme (RSVP) is partnered with the Centre for Intergenerational Practice (CIP) and funded by the Welsh Assembly Government to support intergenerational practice, projects and approaches in Wales.

Who are we?

RSVP has over 20 years’ experience of developing and managing projects with an intergenerational approach in Wales. We have a number of active intergenerational projects which are Wales-wide as well as intergenerational projects which have been developed to reflect local needs and priorities, like our Big Lottery funded ‘Skills Swap’ and ‘Help 4 Carers’ projects, our Heritage Lottery funded ‘Celebrating History Together’ and the volunteer led project ‘Connecting Generations’ funded by the Millennium Stadium Trust. Our aim is to achieve sustainability for all our projects, using our well established ‘volunteer led, volunteer managed’ model - which makes us particularly suited to working with community groups.

  • Advice and support by telephone & email for ‘new start’ intergenerational projects
  • 1:1 support visits for projects or groups by arrangement
  • Help to make the most of resources available on the CIP website
  • Practical mapping exercises for Local Authority co-ordinators or networks
  • Evaluation advice and support
  • Bespoke training based on CIP training resources, delivered by experienced staff
  • Promotion of your project via web-based case studies

How do you get our help?

We have an Intergenerational Support Co-ordinator based in North Wales and another in South Wales, who should be your first point of contact.
RSVP’s Director and our National Projects Manager are both part of the team who offer intergenerational support.
All RSVP Development Co-ordinators have been trained by the CIP to deliver intergenerational workshops and offer support, so we may be able to direct you to a more local contact.
