The Centre for Intergenerational Practice has developed a library of wide ranging case studies and project profiles, which can be searched by geographical area and also by using key words e.g. youth, community, schools.

St Vincent’s School brought young people together with older people from Clifton House Nursing Home and Mullin Mews (sheltered accommodation for people in the early stages of dementia) to share experiences and take part in activities that promote social inclusion.

This project focused on identifying the benefits of befriending and also benefits of being a befriendee. Students from St. Mary's College, Belfast Metropolitan College and South Eastern Regional College took part in this project that incuded debate and discussion activities.

Corkey House (Presbyterian Board of Social Witness) residents and children from Harmony Primary school embarked on this intergenerational project with the aim of educating the children about social disturbance and the effect this has on the area. Children were introduced to the older people and took part in art sessions and work with textiles.

St. Anne’s Primary School and local parishioners in Donaghadee completed this Christmas crafts project bringing young and old of different religions and cultural backgrounds together. This project was supported by Age Concern NI, Ards Borough Council and SETRUST.
