Resources
The Beth Johnson Foundation, through its Centre for Intergenerational Practice, is the principal provider of intergenerational resources in the UK and delivers a wide range of products to support organisations with the development and promotion of intergenerational work.
Amongst our resources you will find a range of publications and guides, case studies and evaluation reports. Quarterly newsletters and e-bulletins keep members updated on the latest news and information around intergenerational work; if you would like to be kept up to date please join the CIP member's network.
The Centre for Intergenerational Practice Approved Provider Standard is a benchmark for organisations providing intergenerational programmes. It has been designed and developed by CIP to provide a realistic and credible basis for assessing core practice by organisations of any size, and to take account of the rich diversity of intergenerational programmes.
- "Intergenerational learning has been the most inspiratinal initiative to be introduced into the educational curriculum in my 29 years of teaching. It is at the heart of and underpins essential motivation for all teaching - the personal and social development of young people into mature and responsible citizens. Intergenerational learning fosters positive relationships between the different generations and develops respect for both older and younger people which can only promote more cohesive communities and a greater sense of citizenship."
