- Posted on Tuesday January 24th 2012
We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to attend one of LGNI's 2012 Introductory training sessions which will be geographically accessible for all of NI. The next such session in 2012 will take place at Brownlow Community Hub in Craigavon on 18 April. This training is suitable for anyone interested in learning about the process of setting up an intergenerational project from recruitment stage through to evaluation. It is anticipated that these Introductory sessions will run every two months.
A second type of training for those interested in applying for a small grant focusing on the new prescriptive intergenerational 'themes' will take place at NICVA in Belfast on 21 February from 9.30 - 15.00. Social Justice, Generational Equity, Age Friendly Inititiatives, Shared and Safer Communities and Peace Building will be the focus of these sessions. Participants will be given the opportunity to discuss these topics and explore their relevance to Intergenerational Practice while coming up with ideas for the planning and implementation of an intergenerational project. Small grant application packs will only be available at these session and attendance will be a criteria for application. N.B Please note that our small grants and funding opportunities are only available in Northern Ireland.
Please contact our office on (028) 9181 3022 or infolgni@bjf.org.uk.for further information or to register for training.
