On 25 and26 January Linking Generations NI welcomed leading intergenerational practitioners from England, Scotland, Wales and the Republic of Ireland to Belfast for two days. The group included representatives from Beth Johnson Foundation/Centre for Intergenerational Practice, Generations Working Together, Scottish Mentoring Network, and Age Action Ireland. LGNI staff are currently preparing a programme of activities for 2012 which will promote the European Year for Active Ageing and Solidarity between Generations (EUY2012). The draft proposals are wide ranging, reflecting the breadth of interest in Intergenerational Practice and the EUY2012. The prize, which is due to the achievements of the whole partnership, has been awarded by the Austrian government and its National Agency.
