The Centre for Intergenerational Practice is currently reviewing its programme for regional networks, and will be arranging new meeting dates in partnership with the National Youth Agency to be held late 2010/early 2011 ** watch this space for further information, details will be mailed out direct to network members **

The last network meeting was hosted by Leeds City Council and the Neighbourhood for All Ages Network, our thanks to Caroline Starkey and Sufia Khan for their support in organising.

Presenations from network members included:

  • Caroline Starkey Principal Officer (Health and Well-being in Later Life) spoke of history of intergenerational work developed in Leeds and the future plans
  • Lisa Jakimcilw of Ascendance spoke to the group about a two year heritage project
  • Dr Tracey Craggs, Holocaust Survivors Friendship Association, projects include double portraits, building Bridges and a Holocaust Education for Educators project
  • Cath Brooke, West Yorkshire Playhouse, use of communication as a theme work began with a drama practitioner whcih resulted in a rap, jester dances, sketches and a performance held at Leeds University Museum
