Regional Networks
The Centre has developed and supported an England wide regional network. As the Beth Johnson Foundation looks towards major changes in funding/resources for the Centre for Intergenerational Practice, one of the areas we are keen not to lose is the valuable networks that have been developed around England.
With this in mind we are supporting networks to develop their own framework to enable intergenerational practitioners to continue to meet, in an informal environment, to learn and exchange ideas etc.
The plan is for small steering groups to be organised in an area, region or locality, who can organise local meetings. We feel that the best networks are those that are driven by the practitioners/organisations doing the work in that field and know that this can be achieved at very little, or no, cost.
Meetings should be informal and provide an opportunity for members to promote their work, share information, exchange views, debate issues, learn of projects and contribute to the overall development of intergenerational practice. The meetings are open to anyone interested in the field of intergenerational work. Some steering groups have already been set up, please check out regional pages for information. If you are interested in setting up or being part of a steering group please contact us
