Beth Johnson Foundation and National Youth Agency partnership to position intergenerational practice within youth sector profession
The Beth Johnson Foundation have since September 2008 forged a partnership with the National Youth Agency, a national organisation which supports those involved in young people's personal and social development and works to enable all young people to fulfil their potential within a just society. Through this collaboration there will be a greater focus on the role that the youth sector can play in developing and promoting the potential of intergenerational activities both for young people and for the broader community.
Training
The Beth Johnson Foundation has developed training around intergenerational practice led from a youth perspective. Taining was delivered to 248 youth workers and practitioners, between Nov 2010 and Mar 2011, who want to develop intergenerational programmes of work. If you are interested in training please contact Louise Middleton, Centre for Intergenerational Practice Manager for further information.
